Presented in this policy brief are different agricultural risks and applicable risk management instruments which can be implemented at regional and national level, to guide decision makers in the mitigation of the negative effects of these agricultural risks. An in depth analysis of price and production risk management measures and tools in various African countries is presented. The policy brief concludes with a summary of institutional and policy environment challenges which exacerbate the agricultural risks.
