Due to the adverse consequences of climate change on agricultural activity, the Gender, Climate Change and Agriculture Support Programme (GACSP) responds to the objective of supporting women and other vulnerable groups in the agriculture and farming industry/ sub sector to adapt to climate-smart agricultural technologies that will help them in mitigating the effects of climate change.  The benefits of implementing this programme include improving female farmers’ access to land, inputs, credit and technologies and enhancing women’s participation in decision making at the local, national and regional economic levels in both the social and political spheres.
