The policy brief presents challenges faced by countries and regional economic communities in implementing CAADP, in the context of fluctuating food prices. It explores the key structural drivers of higher and more volatile prices and unpacks associated consequences. Furthermore, the effects of three policy interventions on consumers, producers, food imports and market development are presented.
