Got the idea for Damu Sasa after the terrorist attack at Westgate shopping mall as one of the challenges was that people outside Nairobi wanted to donate blood but there was no visibility on how much blood was available or needed and who or where donors are.

As a trained radiographer Innocent could see the need for widespread access to ultrasounds for pregnant women but found that machines available were too complex, power heavy and expensive for most clinics in Uganda.
