The Kenya Federation of Employer (KFE), National Industry Training Authority (NITA) and the Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) have collaborated to host an Industry Open Day. 

This open day is expected to be a career-focused and professional development event that aims to promote and develop student leadership skills, provides career connection opportunities for the trainees, and allow trainees to show case their skills to prospective employers. The event will also expose to the industry the kind of training that take place in the centre and training opportunities available for their staff.

Through the partnerships trainees will gain interview opportunities, internships, jobs and apprenticeship opportunities. During the event, graduating high school classes will also be invited to visit and familiarize themselves with the kind of career pathways available and the type of jobs available for the same. Technical institutions will also be invited so that they can identify opportunities for upskilling their trainers and technical staff.

Other critical players in training to be invited are sponsors who may want to know what the areas suitable for sponsorship for both self and paid employment. Development partners past and prospective will also be invited so that may identify areas of need for support.
