He wrapped up by emphasising three main points: the need for strong leadership from the African Union at the level of Heads of State and Government; effective stakeholder coordination with the private sector taking the lead in the implementation with governments providing the policy environment, and; the need to leverage and build upon existing partnerships for the implementation of continental frameworks such as the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa, the Single African Air Transport Market, Smart Africa and other regional/continental initiatives.

In closing Mr Mulualem Syoum, mentioned that the webinar was a useful platform to engage in a stimulating dialogue on the various topics including, finance, agriculture, development, public and private sectors.

“Business and collaboration among us will make Africa rise again. Together we can make Africa great again and I see that today we are committed to working towards a sustainable digital transformation that delivers tangible benefits for the women, youth and SMEs on the continent,” he said.
