Join Us for third installment of the Webinar series designed to help galvanise African pharmaceutical industrial capacity to supply medical products needed to combat COVID-19.
The objectives of the 3rd webinar are: The African continent depends on imports for over 80% of its medicines needs and in most sub-Saharan countries 100% of its vaccines, health technologies and medical devices. This situation is not sustainable.
It is against this background that AUDA-NEPAD is organising a series of webinars, which was launched on 13th April 2020, and its aimed at galvanising African industrial capacity to produce the much-needed pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to respond to Covid19 and future pandemics. The focus of the third meeting will be on the importance of building local pharmaceutical capabilities as a means of contributing to medicines security in Africa.
