Dorcas Dok, Ghana
Dorcas is a 27-year old student who decided to pursue a career in agriculture, instead of any other profession, because of better prospects for her future. “Agriculture is the backbone of the country,” Dorcas says. She is currently working towards a higher education degree in agriculture. During her studies, Dorcas was quick to grasp the importance of technical vocational education and training (TVET). She decided to train at Adidome Farm Institute to complement her diploma qualification with practical skills. Dorcas’ ultimate goal is to become self-employed and to specialise in crop cultivation and farm mechanisation.
