The Project is to be located in the central portion of the Zambezi River Basin, and will extend across the international boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It will be situated upstream of the existing Kariba Dam hydroelectric scheme on the Zambezi River and
downstream of the Victoria Falls.
