The AUDA-NEPAD is in the process of establishing five Centres of Excellence (CoEs) on the African continent, prime AU instruments for leverage knowledge and science-backed innovations into direct support to strategic and accelerated implementation of Agenda 2063. The AUDA-NEPAD CoE in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), as one of the Centres is being established in South Africa, in liaison with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Stellenbosch University.
The purpose of the virtual workshop is to identify innovations which can be packaged for scaling-up implementation along Africa’s economic growth and development priorities. The virtual workshop, bring together players in the Stellenbosch University and CSIR science and research ecosystem is, in line with Agenda 2063 priorities expected to focus on innovations and best practice in the following thematic areas

Industrialisation, Markets and Trade (AfCFTA)

Social and Economic Infrastructure: Water, Energy, Agro-Industry, Environment, Infrastructure

Economic Integration
