Agenda 2063 Special Project Community of Practice

Agenda 2063 is a framework that was formulated through wide consultations with a broad spectrum of African stakeholders at all levels including grassroots levels. The framework purposes to guide Africa’s development and builds on existing African Union development frameworks.

Going forward, the African Union was called upon to ensure that intensive communication is embedded in the entire process as a prerequisite for greater participation of all African citizens in Agenda 2063 by engaging a wide range of stakeholders that include member states, Regional Economic Communities, civil society organizations, academia, private sector, the media, and other development partners organizations like the United Nations System.

It’s in that context, therefore, that the AUC in collaboration with AUDA-NEPAD, the RECs, and the AU Member States has organized the launch of the evaluation of the First Ten Year Implementation Plan and the preparation of the successor ten-year plan, dubbed “the Special Project”.
